Hey guys!
It's been a while since my last post. And since I couldn't express it better than Ray did, and since my donkdownstory is pretty much the same, I just link his post here and just give you a brief update:
- Variance striking back in SNGs
- from >$1k in winnings to ~$600
- hunting the BBJ at the cash tables with terrible results
My down was ugly and my confidence crippled...
But after rain there's always sunshine they say. Incidetially I checked my email in the late afternoon yesterday, that's usually something I never do. I do it either in the mirning or late in the evening. That's how I found out that bluff.com arranges a $5k freeroll for his players. So I signed up, although I didn't exactly know if I was going to play it. Who knows, if the TV-programme would have been better yesterday...
But since TV only offered bs yesterday I decided to take a closer look at the Tourney-Lobby: The field was tiny. Only 54 players started and 45 made the money. No way I wouldn't play it now. And it went pretty well for Team Bluff, meaning Ray and myself, since we cashed in the lump sum of $1380 and I could win it!
And here are the graphs:
(For some reason it was split to two graphs)
Tbh, I don't really know if I played better than usual. I relied a lot on my gut feeling, and it didn't let me down. In some hands I just felt that I was good (KQh & 88 for instance). I was like in trance for the last like 90 mins & more than 100% focussed. I guess that's what they call "to be in the zone". I just felt extremely confident and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanted to win it! As I made it to the HU i was sure that it would take a few beats to make me not win it.
By hidsight these calls seem questionable, if not even fishy to me. I'd appreciate your comments!
Thx for reading,
Doom
Winning does something for you, it makes you less eager to win the next time. What winners have that non-winners don't is that reflection that if I play my game the way that I know how in the end things will work out. Your bet sizing and laydowns looked amazing I can't wait to look at them in the graphs.
Congrats again.

you flat dominated HU, looking at your annotations I am not really sure your graph could have been that much better. You just got a real decent ride and then played HU like a champ.
