Durrrr Challenge Hands updated daily

Tuesday the May 20th brought a durrrr challenge session of just under 700 hands with Patrik edging slightly higher. Here were the eight pots over 100k. The hand count is slightly less than 15,000 and at this rate it appears 50,000 hands is far off in the distance. Couple that with the fact that the 500-1000 games are going non stop and bringing pots that make railbirds choke the challenge is losing a lot of it's appeal. One interesting point is that when Tom made the challenge he thought he had a big edge 4 tabling. Not only is Patrik ahead thus far Gus Hansen has been doing well against Tom playing three and four tables at stakes more than double the durrrr challenge. Since the last update they have had two sessions (I was on vacation for one of them). Patrik now holds a bigger lead at just under 400k with almost 14,000 hands played (36,000 to go, at this pace it may never end). Here are a couple of the bigger hands from the relatively short session. Overall Patrik has a lead on Tom Dwan of a little under $160k. This leg of the Durrrr Challenge is almost one third done and it has gone very slow.  If these guys are interested in developing some buzz around this concept they should make a more concerted effort to play more regularly.  Maybe Full Tilt can step in and throw some juice behind it. The sessions and days are getting a little blurry at this point: Durrrr was running Patrik over until this hand happened, it was basically a 5 bet all in with Durrrr showing AAJ5 and Patrik flipping over KK10J, the flop came K Q 9.  Patrik basically put a hamerlock on the hand when he flopped both a straight and a set, the turn and river went blank blank as the rail yelled "rigged".  That was the second pot over 100k and a big turning point in the match.  Up to that point Tom had a lead on him at every table. At this point Tom was 3 betting a lot of hands, a trend that never really quit.  The flop came 5 8 2 with 2 hearts, Tom led into Patrik and Patrik called.  When a K hit the turn Tom checked and Patrik bet the pot with no apparent straights, Tom called.  When the river bricked Tom shipped 27k into the pot on a busted flush and gut shot straight draw.  Patrik tanked but eventually called with two pair to take another pot of over 100k. The last 2 pots would really tell the tale of the day.  While Durrrr early on looked like he would steamroll Patrik, Patrik began catching hands and pulled close to even. Durrrr raised the button and Patrik reraised with what ended up being 4488, Durrrr then reraised and Patrik called.  When the flop brought a spade flush draw and a 4, both players got it all in.  The turn brought the spade and the river bricked.  Tom showed AA76 with the Ace and six of spades to complete his flush and take the biggest pot of they day for over 165k. The last big hand probably represented a measure of frustration from Patrik.  On an A32 board Patrik led out and Durrrr raised, Patrik then called out of position.  The turn brought a 6 of clubs making 2 clubs on the board and Patrik led big.  The river brought a scary 7 of clubs and Patrik shipped in over 30k into what was already a huge pot, Durrrr made a crying call and turned over the flopped nuts.  Patrik had nothing with no draw to anything and lost the pot of over 160k, the second biggest of the day on a bluff. With almost 4k in hands under their belt Tom has a lead of barely under 150k. Biggest Hands with graphs provided by HighStakesDB Second session full of wild swings: The second round of the Durrrr Challenge saw Patrik Antonius pull ahead with an almost 60k lead after close to 3,000 hands.  This session was marked by a lot bigger pots and more aggressive style from both players. Tom "Durrrr" Dwan vs. Patrik Antonius (first session synopsis) They played a bit over 1500 hands and Durrrr ended up for the session over 135k.  Initially people thought that Durrrr was playing very tight (in contrast to his normal hyper aggro style).  After a while though it was obvious that both players started to play their normal game.  The swings were not really that big for a normal Pot Limit Omaha session. Many people noted that Patrik was struggling using his full clock to make a lot of decisions.  If you recall this was the reason Tom initially issued the challenge with the idea that even the best in the world would not be able to adjust to multiple tables heads up. the gist: We will use this page to post interesting hands.  The challenge is set to begin and Full Tilt has opened 4 tables called "Durrrr Challenge", those tables are Pot Limit Omaha, so it makes sense that they will either be adding Holdem tables or the first set of matches will be exclusively Pot Limit Omaha.  Check here as play begins and we will link you to the interesting hands. Apparently Patrik Antonius will go first per this article on Full Tilt, followed in some order by Phil Ivey and David Benyamine.  My guess is Ivey will be getting sloppy thirds.

I think they should call this off, it is sort of silly at this point. Either that or raise the stakes.
