High Stakes Poker Season 5, episode 3 - Full Show

Here are all the previous weeks
This is of High Stakes Poker Season 5 on GSN, episode 3.
Once again we will be live blogging the show and updating on twitter.  The videos should be made available online shortly after the show is off the air.  Last week Tom Dwan dominated the action finishing with just a crazy bluff that got the whole web talking.  While Tom is a well known high stakes poker player, season 5 is his first season. Daniel starts off the show with a raise to $2,500, $400-$800 blinds.  Doyle smooth calls with KK and then Eli wakes up with 99 and raises to $13,300, Doyle then moved all in for a little less than 100k.  Eli insta calls.  The pot is $195,700.  They are running it twice, the first flop blanks for Eli, Doyle will scoop the pot if he wins this next one.  Three hearts on the board made it a decent sweat and Eli hits the 4th heart, so his 9 of hearts means they whack up Daniels $2,500 and Eli is saved by the runner runner flush. The next hand has Tom Dwan raising to $2,200 with J 5 off, Ziigmund (Ilari Sahamies) smooth calls in position with KK out of position (he is in the small blind).  The flop is scary but brings a Jack for Tom, Ilari acts first and checks, Tom also checks.  The turn pairs the 8 and Ilari leads for $6,000 and Tom calls.  The river is a scare card for Ilari, an Ace, no flush available.   He leads out for $14,000 and Tom lays down second pair. David Benyamine has deuces the next hand and raises to $2,500, which is fast becoming the standard raise.  Both Negreanu and Elezra call.  The flop comes J 9 4 with 2 hearts.  The hand was relatively uneventful with Eli winning a small pot. Peter Eastgate admits that he folded a deuce from the big hand from last week.  Doyle loses his sidebets to Tom Dwan, Doyle did not think Peter would have laid a deuce in that situation with two deuces on the board.  To Doyle and virtually everyone else's surprise he did. Crazy table talk ensues. Tom Dwan raises the next hand with Jd 6d, Eli calls the $3,000 bet in position with 3h 2h.  Flop brings a flush draw for Eli and he wins the pot uncontested from Tom (Durrrr) Dwan. Fairly uneventful up to this point in the show. Barry raises the next hand on his button with J 10 and picks up Daniel who calls with As 8s.  Barry flops the nuts when the board comes Q 9 8 with two diamonds.  Daniel checks out of position with bottom pair and Barry bets the nuts.  Daniel makes the call and hits one of the worst cards in the deck for him the Ace of hearts.  Daniel checks and Barry bets $15,000 in position.  Daniel then just calls avoiding what could have been disastrous for him.  The river is a King of spades making Barry a broadway straight now.  Barry throws out a brick ($50,000 in wrapped up cash), Daniel begins to mutter trying to discern what Barry could have.  Daniel talks it out feeling like he is beat and wonders why Barry would bet so much.  He makes the call and Barry shows him the goods. Doyle breaks the rhythm of the game raising to $4,000 with Ah 9h, he gets three callers, Greenstein with 22, Elezra with KQ and Negreanu with Ac 8c.  The flop comes A K Q rainbow.  Doyle leads the action for 9k.  Eli just calls and Negreanu raises to $24,000 with the third worst hand (but in position).  Doyle lays his hand easily, Eli begrudgingly calls the raise.  When a J peels off on the turn Daniel starts to chatter immediately feeling snake bitten by that card.  Eli leads out for 35k and Daniel lays the hand while shaking his head.  Correction, it looks like Eli had position the whole time.  Daniel appears to be steaming after making the 50k call and losing the hand against Greenstein. I think AJ Benza has really gotten a lot better as the seasons have gone by. The very next hand Ziigmund re-raises a bet he felt was week by David Benyamine, making it 13k to play.  Daniel makes the call with 4h 5h for the blind, Ziigmund had the button, Daniel appears to be steaming hard.  The flop brings a flush draw for Daniel but he is out of position, both players check.  The turn brings a 6s, the board is now 10s 8h Ah 6s.  Daniel leads out with his flush and straight draw betting $25,000.  Ziigmund folds to the aggression, folding his 7 2. The next hand has Tom Dwan raising from under the gun with 6 5 off suit.  Daniel calls on the button with 9 8 offsuit.  Doyle wakes up with Tens but only calls from the small blind preferring to play a small pot against one player (Dwan) that is naturally aggressive and one player possible on tilt (Daniel).  Doyle flops a set when the flop comes J 10 6 with two clubs.  Brunson and Dwan check the flop and Negreanu leads for $7,000.  Doyle calls the bet out of position.  When the Ace of clubs hits the turn making a possible flush on the board Doyle checks and Daniel also checks.  The river pairs the board making Doyle a full house but it goes check check and Doyle shows Daniel the full house. Peter Eastgate raises from middle position in the next hand with 9s 8s and gets three callers.  It has seemed in all three shows that Eastgate has been very intimidated but has flopped well to be up. He also could be playing timid because he has the most chips at the table.  Eli Elezra has Jd 6d and hits the flop hard when it comes Kd 8d 6c, Eastgate makes a continuation bet for $32,000 into the pot of little more than 13k.  Daniel immediately points out that Peter bet a bigger denomination than he wanted to, which is a bit out of line and Tom Dwan points that out.  Eli takes advantage of the situation by raising Peter's overbet and everyone folds.  Eli had a legit hand but likely does not make that move without the weakness that was pointed out by Daniel Negreanu. Barry Greenstein opens the next pot with JJ for $2,500.  He gets three callers.  Barry leads at the flop that comes 2 10 8 rainbow with the over pair for $5,000, Ziigmund calls on the button with Ah 8h with second pair.  The turn brings a 9 giving Barry an open ended straight draw and he still has an overpair to the board, he checks and Ziigmund bets $26,000, Barry calls.  Ziigmund puts on the brakes when the rivers bricks and Barry takes down the pot. So far the show has been fairly uneventful. Dwan opens the next pot with Qs Js for $3,000 and gets 3 callers.  The flop comes 10c 5d 2d, everyone checks and the turn brings an 8c.  Peter Eastgate now has top pair with a King kicker (Kh 10h), Doyle has a flush and straight draw with 3c 6c.  Pete Eastgate tries to take control of the pot by betting $8,000 and Doyle then re-raises out of position with his flush and straight draw.  If Eastgate calls here he could be looking at a big bet no matter what hits the river.  Eastgate ends up folding the best hand. Daniel opens the next pot with JJ betting $2,800.  He gets three callers, Eastgate with 33 (he might need to hit quads to actually see the river), David Benyamine with 44 and Eli Elezra once again coming in 4th with 3s 2s.  The flop comes 2d 4 d 7c giving Benyamine a set of fours, Daniel continues with the lead betting $8,000 and Pete Eastgate calls David Benyamine raises to $41,000 with his set.  Daniel makes the call and Eastgate folds.  David Benyamine looks like hell.  When the turn brings another four he looks less so, now he is trying to look like he is not doing cartwheels in his head.  Benyamine makes a weak lead into a very big pot betting $35,000.  Daniel is ranting happily at the moment but is about to be real unhappy when David shows him the nuts.  Daniel takes the bait and moves all in drawing dead.  David picks up the $416,200 pot, this is not the first time Daniel has lost with Quads on High Stakes Poker.  Daniel has been up against some big hands but I think tilt got the better of him for this session. The show ends with a teaser from a hand that Tom Dwan will play against Barry Greenstein next week.  Which is good because episode 3 was a bit of a yawner.

Eastgate is a solid player but he seems to be playing scared money in these cash games :\

Yeah, as of this morning the videos are still not up. Which is getting annoying to be honest. I finally had to go to bed last night thinking that when I woke up they would be up. No luck thus far. The minute they become available I will pop them up.
