Resetting the System

So after my debacle this morning, I decided to take a nap, which I needed and start up a fresh. I have driven 3 hours today and played in 4 MTTs, so I think my judgement was bad earlier. We will see what it does. Currently I am in 2 MTTs with great intentions of running deep because I may not be able to play anymore this week as two a days start up. The first is the 12K Guarantee on FTP. I am on first break currently at 394 with 898 left, The other is the superstack 15K on ftp, currently i am 1171 with 1865 left. I havent played many hands in it yet, I will update each hout. Hopefully one of these is the ONE.

Volume is definitely a big factor. You aren't going to make deep runs often, so the more you play, the more chances you give yourself to run good and play great and make a deep run. Just keep stacking up the tables where you are comfortable, then when you bust out of one, open up another and keep it rollin'!

When it rains it pours. I keep hearing volume is the key, but I keep getting bad beat to death. In the 15K, I ran into a bit of bad luck as usual. Got it all in preflop with KK against AA and lost. Stayed on life support for as long as I could and had to ram QJ with a M of 5 ran up against 1010, and lost the race of course. In the 12K, IDK, it always seems to me everytime I get something going then I take that one beat which is fine when I have chips, I never get anything to play and or nothing ever holds up after that one point. I got it all in pre with a decent stack I was holding AK vs AQ and lost when the Q hit the river BUT I was still way above average, then I never saw anything above 8 high for an hour. I would try to creat my own luck on the button and blinds by 3betting but one of those days when I three bet I get someones whole stack in my face. I took a couple of chances with soooooted connectors, but never hit anything. Finally the M was down to 8ish, I usually dont even worry with my M until the later stages, but had too in these. I pick up AJ soooooooooooooooted in the BB, 3 limpers I bet the pot, guy in the middle calls. Flop AJ4, I beat he calls. Turn 9 I go all in, he hesitates then calls, flips over Q10 off, lol, river 8 good game.

I feel like I am playing great, just nothing much to show for it. I guess I need to take another short break and do it again in a few days or something.

I know volume is the key, but variance is still kicking my assssssss.
