There are three pieces of information factored into the BLUFF Player of the Year formula:

1. Finishing Position
2. The Buy-in
3. Number of Entrants

The points are calculated by multiplying the point factors from all three criteria.

Only a player’s ten best finishes, as determined by point value, through the calendar year will count towards the Player of the Year standings. Only players who cash in an event receive points.

For re-entry events every entry or re-entry counts as an independent entry (i.e. a player entering the event and then re-entering the event once is two entries).

Tournaments must meet a minimum field size to award BLUFF Player of the Year points. The minimum field sizes are as follows:

Buy-In Minimum Field Size
$250,000 – or more 16
$100,000 – $249,999 24
$25,000 – $99,999 36
$10,000 - $24,999 48
$5,000 - $9,999 72
up to $4,999 96

Invitational tournaments are not eligible for BLUFF Player of the Year points.

Player of the Year Scoring Formula: There are three pieces of information factored into the formula:

The points are calculated by multiplying the point factors from all three criteria. For re-buy events and multiple-entry events the buy-in is determined by prizepool/players.

Only a player’s best ten (highest point value) finishes through the calendar year will count towards the Player of the Year standings. Only cashing players receive points.
