6-MAX-BOOTCAMP on Doyle's Room

Hey Bluffers!

After the huge community-building sucess  of Ray's (thanks for the great work, Bud) staking efforts around the DIME on Cereus, it is about time that Bluffers get a chance to prove theirselfes at Doyle's Room. So the most obvious solution would be to find a MTT at DR, wich is compareable to the Dime at Cereus and give away stakes for it. That was the original plan. Unfortunately, there is no compareable MTT at Doyle's. Either the BI is much higher respectively it's a rebuy or the pricepool is much lower. Or both. That doesn't mean that there is no value in MTTs at cake, not at all. The MTTs just don't seem to be as "staking-compatible" as the Dime. But maybe there is a solution to get something going on DR...

Doyle's Room offers WSOP-Satellites in a Step-Format, wich start at $1,10 for Step 1. Please don't think that I am completely loony. I don't want to send anyone to the WSOP, at least not yet :)

The reason why they could be interesting for staking is, that they pay out in cash. And you can do with the cash whatever you want. I just double-checked this with the DR-support today, to make sure it's really true.

This means, win 5 six-max SNG's = $2500. Unfortunately there's no earlier exit point. You will have to make it all the way to step 5.

Sounds good, but of course there's some work to do first: Visit this site to learn about the Basics if 6-Max SNGs BEFORE you enter your first Tournament. Revevant articles on the bottom right. If you read and understood these articles, you are qualified for a stake that I will give away. This is fair-play-based, so please don't cheat.

The rules:

So my plan right now is, that I will give away 5 stakes of $9,90 each. They have to be used like this:

3 * $1,10 for a Step 1 $2,500 Package 6 max SNG,

1* $6,60 for a Step 2 $2,500 Package 6 max SNG.

The filter-settings to find the Step-SNGs:

In case of winning you pay back the stake + 50% of the price. (PM me for my Account details). The rest of for you, with ZERO risk on your side.

You have to play all the Step 1 SNGs first.

You must have Bluffware running while playing.

You have to create a thread titled "BOOTCAMP [your screenname]".

You have to post every Step- Tournament in this thread to get feedback on your play.

You have to wait until I commented on your posted sessions before you play the next Step-tourney. Just to make sure you don't repeat your mistakes and become better.

The main reasons why I do this is because imo there's great value in this qualifier-SNGs AND I think that it will really help your game to improve. You will get feedback on every hand you play, this really helps to extinguish mistakes. And making as few mistakes as possible is exactly what Tourney-Poker is about. And hopefully this is a first step for some of you to become sustainably sucessful at SNGs!

So if you are interested to be staked for these SNGs, lmk in this thread. Would love to have some horses in this race :)

Cya,

Doom

So if we win the package, we are not obliged to se the money on a wsop event?

really nice idea matthias ! :) i was looking for tournaments on DR aswell but i couldnt find any because of the reasons u stated above but this seems like a nice idea.

Yes as Beanie says this is about the best idea, it is a win win situation. You get to be staked into SNG in which you would otherwise might not play and second you get a form of coaching to help you progress. Matthias is a very successful 6Max SNG player that has helped my game. Now he will be providing a form of coaching and review of your sessions that has never been done here at Bluff to date. Sure we all medal through our sessions looking for ways to improve, but most at times are unsure what to look for. Here Matthias has a gem of an idea, I have very little funds on DR and I welcome the idea of becoming a better 6Max SnG player. I was more than happy to become a student of Matthias and I'm real excited for his new roll as a mentor to us all. Thanks for giving back to the community matthias this is a fantastic idea and opportunity.

ty for the warm words, guys!

I guess I will wait until Sunday to see if anyone want's to get staked. So far it looks more like: "I like your idea, but I don't want to be staked"

So if there's anyone out that wants to be staked, just lmk :)
