ONce I played the pot, I was committed I think, and honestly I think the guy calls my shove no matter what because of the way he has been playing. Oh well, until next time
I guess my only question is should i have folded preflop, but once I called, should I have should the flop being first to act?
First it was a bad call preflop but if you are going to make the call and hit your flop you are all in. That is not a good call preflop though, as you can see it gets you in a lot of sticky situations. These are the type of plays that stop you from getting to a final table, clean these up and you will be fine. You played great.
edit: I thought he raised preflop, the call was fine then but you should have been all in. Never should you have let him bet because as you saw he was calling with virtually any hand.
re-edit: for anyone who thought that was a bad call be the villian he wins that hand almost 40% of the time. I really hope that changes everyone's mind because honestly he made a fine call there. Getting 3-1 btw.
Yeah that was my thoght. I only called because it was limped to me. Once the 9 hit the flop I should have rammed. I could have folded when I let him bet but that was not an option in my thought process. I agree I have to clean this area up so i can FT one of these. Thanks for the support and I wll run deep again sooooooooooooooooooon.
don't forget that you win the hand 60% of the time there. This is where cash game play would really help, because I think your play would have been a lot more crisp there, your 9 rates to be the best hand there most of the time but you are better off not seeing any more cards.
Yeah, I'm with @Beanie on this. On that board texture, I am definitely moving in that pot with UTG's preflop raise and expected cbet. The Jxx board doesn't fit his range as much as a Axx/Kxx would. There are only 3 Jacks left in the deck, what are the odds he has one that he can raise UTG with? Not a lot!
