I was playing in a tourny last weekend and this hand kinda killed me early on in the tournament( first level even) and i wanted to know if i played the hand ok or what i did wrong. We only played like 10 hand when this 1 came along so i didnt have any reads or anything. (not that im too good at that otherwise lol)
So the tables are 8max and we have a starting stack of 5000 and the blinds are 25-50.
UTG+1 i raise it to 150 with AdQs and two players call behind me. The flop brings 9d 4d 2d and i checkcall a bet of 250 and the other guy had folded.
The turn brings a Qc and i check. He here bets 600 and i raise it to 2000. He calls and we see the river Kh. I then bet 1250 and he calls and shows me a set of nines.
My thoughts afterwards were that i never should have bet the river ( or maybe all in ?) but that for the rest of the hand i played it ok but after his call on the turn he should at least have had the K of diamonds in his hand and since the river brought that K my bet was kinda foolish and also too small i guess if i did wanted to make him fold that.
