Free money offer changes

Our free money program has changed a number of times in the last couple of months.  I have struggled with finding a system that works for one obvious reason, some people abuse the system.  I also have some issues with the way the system works in general, for instance, I run a fairly successful rakeback business, some of my players are the biggest winners online.  In addition I have won significant amounts of money online.  So the ability to devote time and resources to giving people free poker bankrolls just is not there.  We built the Bluffware software so that people could reflect on their play and get better from introspection.  Sadly I do not think that is what is happening, sure some people sign up at Bluff.com but it is very rare that anyone tweets me hands or posts in the forums.  What this is telling me is that the free money is the goal for most users, not the "I would like to learn from winning poker players" part.  Frankly that surprises me, I like to think the best of people for sure but in reality selfish interests should prevail.  Most of these deals only give someone $25 initially, I really thought that most people would value the learning opportunity more than the money.  While in some cases that has been true mostly it is not.

Becoming a winning player should be your goal

There are many other free money poker deals out there that are not asking anything from you.  I am asking something from you, I want you to want to become a winning poker player for life.  I can not guarantee you will get there but I can tell you that wanting to be a winning player is the first step to accomplishing the goal.

How the program works

Ironically the best results I have had up to this point is when I was being a stickler about the rules and gave the least amount of money.  So we are going to try this again.

1.  Your bankroll will start with $10, do not play over .02-.04 if you do you are out of the program.  No exceptions any more, the only way you can move up is if you have the bankroll to do so.  Otherwise you are just gambling and that is not how winners think.  In addition I do not care what CASH GAMES that you play, you will get $10 for each 1000 hands you play up to $50 (Doyle's Room adds $50 pending that releases as you play).

At Doyle's Room you can play sit and go's, instead of hands played you will receive each $10 bullet for 50 FPP's.  I will try and get a similar deal at our other rooms soon.

2.  Once you sign up at Bluff.com you MUST play some play money hands using Bluffware (formerly Powertools, there is an instruction video on the front page.  The reason you NEED to do this is to know that you know how to use the system.  If you do not know how to use the system you are not taking advantage of the tools we are offering.

3.  The name of the game is to stay in the game.  Simply put you can't go broke, you have to move down or do whatever it takes to stay afloat.

4.  Obviously one way to move up in limits is to deposit or transfer your balance from another site, if you need any help in this regard just let me know.

Really not trying to sound like a downer, this is my personal money and if I lose it, well hey, I have lost it doing worse things.  I just really see an opportunity to help people bring their games along at no risk.  If that is something you are interested in doing you are welcomed to join us.

Really in my eyes this is your program, you put in time and effort to help others to improve and only ask for effort on the players part to improve their play. You have a wonderful concept here, which I think is a valuble resource for those willing to work on their game. If players that have come here don't take advantage of your knowledge then I wouldn't blame you for removing players from this program. I look forward to this program, wish I had found it sooner. Who knows you may find a diamond in the rough. Hopefully you don't stop your program anytime soon as I just found you lol... but understand that you want to see others not waste this oppurtunity.

Interesting idea, I signed up for Doyle's Room. Do you have any additional stipulations, such as playing only 9-max, or only 2 tables at a time?

Also, when are players allowed to move up in stakes? Is the 20 BI limit sufficient?

And at what point are players allowed to touch the money (i.e. cashout at some point)?
