Isildur crushing Durrrr in nosebleed games

Who is this guy? Beanie, do you know? Apparently has taken 4mm off of durrrr in the past week alone, not counting the other nosebleed pros he's been stacking. Barry supposedly knows (?). Moreover, how robust can durrrr's bankroll be? This had to be a pretty significant hit. Countdown to busto?

I don't know who he is but it's not a big secret in the high stakes crowd.  Those guys don't typically play people that they have no idea who they are for long periods of time.  Durrrr isn't going busto anytime soon.  He still has retirement type money.  You can best believe that he bought into FTP, even 1% would have cost him big.  So couple that with this and you I bet he is quite short.

I read someone say that he could easily get backed.  By who? Most people think these stakes are ridiculous, if Durrrr was short and Guy Laliberte showed up someone would have his back but this seems like an ego thing.  Most people aren't going to back someone to cater to their ego.

If I was guessing I would guess Durrrr has 20 million behind still.  While everyone looks at the various databases there are so many things that aren't accounted for in those scenarios.  One that is really big for Durrrr is that he backs a TON of high stakes players.  Many of whom aren't trying to play the best in the world.

You might recall at the beginning of this year he ran badly only to recover.  I have never seen a poker player willing to gamble for such small edges, that is what makes him who he is.  Someone once told me that degrees of tilt is what makes high stakes players.  That player is now broke and had won millions.  Durrrr seems to think he plays the same when he is up or down.  Which only accounts for half of the equation.  You also have to factor in how your opponents are viewing you.

Can Durrrr go broke, sure he can, will he, I think he probably will at some point.  But not broke like you and me broke.  I would imagine Durrrr can just make a call to Howard Lederer for some online infusion at any moment.  The question is, when does Howard quit picking up the phone.

Call it Red Pro curse or whatever everyone's favorite online poker hero is taking it on the chin.

I tend to think he is closer to bust than you esp if he has paid his taxes in the past.  Ptr had him winning almost 10mill at his peak add maybe another 5mill won from staking, if he then paid taxes on the 15mill earnings that would knock it down to around 10mill again take out another 2mill for the lavish lifestyle he surely lives and then his recent 5mill downswing and maybe he has 2-3mill left and who knows how liquid that is.  Of course this is all massive speculation and yes he could get staked from a number of people including lederer ivey antonius ect.. . My question for him would be why not move down for a while and regain your confidence, a few months or even weeks of crushing 25/50-50/100 would surely do him  a world of good (but of course he has his ego and reputation to worry about so he is unlikely to do this)  I say countdown to busto but we will never know bc he will either loan or get staked and so is not going anywhere, who knows he could already be playing with someone elses money for all we know.

I know a few of the guys he stakes that don't think this is a dent in his overall but I am with you, this has to hurt.  I am not going to have a huge discussion about who pays what taxes, certainly all online money is taxed.

The thing that makes you wonder is that he continues to play when he is soooooooo buried.

Btw in Europe poker is currently considered as a game like lotto or bingo. So if a European is playing on a poker site that is located in EU-area, there are no taxes. If a European is playing on US-site for example he must pay taxes. In Europe the taxes are huge, this is why Antonius (from my country Finland) and many others who play in US have moved away from their home country.

I think one reason why Dwan continued playing when he was so buried is the fact that he just joined FTP and they announced how great player he is. Then the first thing he does is start loosing money - big money - he tried to win it back (ego thing).

Have you seen this:  http://www.poker-king.com/poker-king-articles.php?article=729

For some reason I like Antoniius (a Finnish player) doing this.

Check this article out.  The best thing I've read on online poker in quite some time.  http://blogs.cardrunners.com/BLAG/an-unstoppable-force-meets-1258491260

This is on one table (they were playing at least four) where Isildur goes over a million against Cole South.

This resets daily will have a lot of the hands from the battle Big Daily

Soon after beating Durrr, Isildur lost almost $3 million to Antonius playing just like 2000-3000 hands PLO.

http://www.pokernews.com/news/2009/11/the-online-railbird-report-special-edition-antonius-wins-2-7-7557.htm

Then Isildur played against Antonius and Ziigmund (sahamies) same time PLO and won about $1M from Ziigmund and about $380k from Antonius.

Then Isildur played against Antonius, Durrr and Ivey same time. I think he lost $1.5M to Durrr.

Kids got some gamble for sure.  What you are seeing emerging is 3 bet and 4 bet style that essentially raises the blinds much higher than they are on the sites.  Obviously this hand would have been raised but if you look at Big Daily you will see that pattern emerging.

isildur1 is 19 year old swedish player, named vickor blom. his young tallented poker player with lots of gamble in him.

I think whats really sick about him , iz dat he plays the top pros and multi tables them. its def a disadvantage when you playin more tables than your apponents, but he does it against the best in the world , usually playin 6 to 8 tables when pa zig or ivey playin 2 to 3 tables, thats just a poker machine in my mind.
