Site Suggestion

Have the owners here ever heard of Mikogo?  It is a free program that allows you to share whatever is on your computer screen with others who you give a unique code to, without allowing them to actually control your computer.  It is like a meeting software, it is completely free at Mikogo.com

It would be nice to be able to watch some of the the great players in real time to see how they play and why, and maybe have them talk through the thought process on skype or yahoo etc.  Just a suggesstion.

Funny you mention that because I have been looking at Yugma for a similar type of idea.  One of the problems is that someone could obviously be watching and sit down and play.  There are some other ways to do it though but likely not near as compelling.

You can control who can watch as on Mikogo there is a new, unique code for each time you start a session, and also, you can see at all times who is watching.  As long as you know who is watching and their site names, it should be ok.  Or more likely use for this could be as an example.  I get deep in a tourney, and would like to have someone to kind of ask for advice every now and then, maybe invite them to help coach through the end game.  Tourneys may be better suited for this since you cant just jump onto the table.

I think the suggestions is a very good one.  I am going to try and get unburied from the free money stuff and start doing some tests with video conferencing.  I am probably going to start off almost as a virtual classroom with slides and such and just open things up to questions and see how that goes.  I think once I see what the demand is like I will be able to customize the presentation.

While I am a good player I am fortunate to know many great players.  Hopefully I can get some collaboration from some of them, I think people would enjoy that.

Thanks, I will take a look at those, this week isn't looking great but with so many people active in the forums I am more inclined to do a teaching session, hopefully next week.

Yes this would be a great addtion, love to watch great players play. Cash or even late stages of tournaments. Could be a great tool for a mentor type session. Slvarshark offered this which I think is good. If the interest is there i would love to join into a group and watch as others play.

By the way Carolann09, I would be happy to rail you in your tournies when you get to the end game. I may not offer much advice, but would be there for support. Like you said it would work great with tournaments as players can't just jump in and start playing vs you.......

A lot of this stuff has been talked about and is in the works.  We just have a lot on our plate ATM, I suspect you will see more stuff like that after the first of the year, until then I will just try and help out with hands that people post in the forums.

In addition if I do end up making videos I will do so at the limits you guys are playing.  I think videos of the limits I normally play wouldn't help that much because the games play so differently.

Lol I use to have my own Tech Business and I use to have that program when I was setting up networks I could see all the workstations from one central computer as I was setting up the newtork to see if all the processes went right or took effect on all the work stations it was cool and took hours off my jobs .
