Two consecutive pocketpairs in a 6-max SNG

Hey guys!

Here i picked up QQ and 88 consecutive:

from Bluff.com -- Hand Analysis Poker Forums

QQ: I oftentimes don't really know what to do with the ladies... On one hand it's the best hand in most cases, on the other hand they are ugly to play on lots of flops. I usually raise them pre, because i don' want to play them on one of these ugly flops. Am I giving away value here? Should I maybe try a limp-raise here?

88: Fold pre too tight? I was definetly calling, if the guy to my left didn't call. But as he just called, it felt like he wanted me in the pot. Couldn't believe how weak he was as his cards flipped over. But in general it's a good fold, isn't it? I'm so confused...

Thanks for your comments,

Doom

QQ i would raise to 250, I like to raise to 2.5 x the bb when the stacks start to get shallow. I hate limp reraising because your just screaming you have AA,kk, or QQ. At the lower levels it might be a better play but at the stakes your playing people will know exactly what you have.

88 in that spot is an easy fold, at best one guy has a smaller pocket pair and the other has 2 over cards to your pair.

you would be worse than a flop in almost every situation with your 88.  I don't mind your play with QQ but I like what slickter said too.  I guess the question becomes what do you do if they push? I don't think you can really fold QQ under any circumstances, do you?  Your opponents likely just had nothing to call with.

no, i was never ever folding QQ here.

Thanks slickter, that was pretty much what i thought, i just was wondering if others opinions differs from mine connotatively. In retrospect 88 is indeed a pretty easy fold here. thank you guys for your comments! much appriciated!
