another small pocket pair, i sucked out with

Describe your hand: This guy was raising every hand pf, i put him on Ax or two over's. Didnt see him with an 8 on the flop, he called my raise then pushed on the turn, i figured he was trying to buy the pot and called. Lucky for me i hit the spade. Did i play this badly? considering the his consent raising.

couple things.  9 player is going to make your life miserable good players look to isolate, 9 player is hard to do that, especially at micro limits.  I also hate the limp with fours, the reason you are limping is because you don't like the hand.  If you don't like the hand don't play it.  The money in poker is not made from hitting sets because for every time you hit a set there is an opposite time you will lose to a set.  The money in poker is made isolating against bad opponents, playing hands in position and making people pay when they don't have you beat.  It is proactive not reactive.  Post flop you played the hand fine but for many people on this site their main issue that they have is bad preflop hand selection.  Fours is a fold in a nine table game in my opinion.  If not a fold then raise but then what do you do when someone re-raises.

With all that said if you were in a similar situation 6 handed and you were to raise with the fours I would like that play.

I think you were real lucky in this hand, low pocket pairs I personally want to see flop for cheap. If I can limp in with them great if not I would have folded to his  raise preflop. The value of playing low pockets comes from hitting your set and stacking your opponents as your hand is well hidden. Your hand preflop is to weak imo to call his 6x raise. I think the play on the flop was even crazier but that's me I'm not a wild man, On the turn I guess you felt committed and went for it but you can't think you good here even with the flush draw a 4 high is not likely to win often enough. With reads even still hard to get envolved after his preflop raise.

For me I would have folded on the flop and looked for better spots to get my money in the middle. I have a little rhyme I use, NO SET NO BET, try to get in cheaper with low pockets. Others may not agree with the way I would play it but that's whats great about this site. You will get 10 different ideas on how to play each hand and a lot of them will be different. Who's right who's wrong, really no one is, debating hands can be great for everyone.

The idea is take what you will and make it your own. Best of luck to you.

I agree on both. On the micro's - 9 handed, those 4's are not a good pf hand at all. I usually will limp in if i can see a cheap flop with low pokets, and truthfully 99% of the time i would have folded that pf, and  normally i would not bet out like i did. He was pretty aggressive in previous hands so i put him on a bluff, and Roy your right i think at the moment i commited myself to my bad play and called with the expectation of mucking. That is deff something i need to put in prospective and not do. i got mega lucky hitting the flush. Either way i knew i would get some good feedback from this hand, thanks guys.
